Pump It School Challenge

This year's final was held on the June at Howden Park Centre 4.30pm - 7.30pm.
We would like to say well done to all of our finalists who presented on the night. The heat pump designs were very impressive and everyone presented well on the night.
We would like to congratulate Bathgate Academy who impressed the judges with their knowledge on the correct use of a heat pump and their application to recycle hot air from the gym to heat up the pool. The team had thought of all contingencies to get the most out of their design year-round. The idea tapped into every day sport activities and found a way to make them more energy efficient.t.
The judges were further impressed by their concern regarding renewable energy and their awareness of why it was an important part of their design showed the level of research and thought that went into their use for a heat pump.
The Chamber working in partnership with Jobcentre Plus (DWP) and West Lothian College has introduced #getajob programme to help break down the barriers faced by unemployed young people in West Lothian in gaining employment. Read more
