Commenting on the publication of the latest Fraser of Allander Economic Commentary, Liz Cameron, Chief Executive of Scottish Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Following up on the positive trends that Scottish Chambers of Commerce detected in our latest Quarterly Business Survey earlier this month, the uprating of the forecast of Scottish economic growth both this year and next by the Fraser of Allander Institute is extremely welcome. That said, we are in full agreement with the Institute’s assessment that growth remains fragile in the absence of a tangible pick up in investment.
“That is why our Governments at a Scottish and UK level must leave no stone unturned when it comes to measures to support Scottish businesses. We are greatly encouraged by the increasing range of indicators that seem to be pointing towards a more prosperous future but we cannot afford to become complacent.”
