West Lothian Chamber of Commerce are excited to be visiting Southern Ireland next month to begin building valued international partnerships for their new Export Club, launching on 27th September. Chief Executive, Linda Scott, will be visiting the country to agree a new trade partnership and sign their first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chief Executive of South Dublin Chamber.
The West Lothian Chamber Export Club is a new membership arm funded by The Scottish Chamber of Commerce and the Scottish Government to provide support to local businesses when looking to grow their market reach. The support provided by the Export Club will include expert training events, access to inward and outward trade missions across the world, signposting to expert partner services and much more. By developing a support system for international trade, tailored to the needs of local businesses, the West Lothian Chamber of Commerce aim to increase the exporting activities and knowhow for all size and sectors of business, while maintaining and developing valuable partnerships across the globe.
This exciting partnership with South Dublin Chamber will provide many opportunities for businesses in West Lothian and across Scotland. By building relations with this new market, West Lothian Chamber of Commerce can begin offering their members and local businesses the key contacts and advice required, as well as invitation to attend joint events with South Dublin Chamber. By providing various levels of support including inward and outward trade missions, networking events and country specific training sessions, members can begin their new trading journey to Southern Ireland with ease.
The upcoming trip has kindly been sponsored by South Dublin Chamber with free accommodation provided by the exceptional Citywest Hotel, Dublin. The West Lothian team have also been invited to attend the British Ambassadors Annual Summer Party with key business contacts from across the city of Dublin.
This exciting trip looks to be the first step in opening the doors to international trade for West Lothian businesses!
